ABOUT ME
I’m a highly specialist occupational therapist with a deep commitment to helping children, young people and adults better understand themselves through the lens of sensory processing, emotional wellbeing, and neurodiversity. Since qualifying in 2018, I’ve worked across a wide range of settings in both the UK and Australia, supporting people to feel more regulated, connected, and confident in their everyday lives.
My career began in older adult mental health, where I developed a strong interest in how sensory processing impacts emotional regulation and wellbeing across the lifespan. From there, I moved into CAMHS, working with vulnerable young people as part of a specialist team. A large part of my role involved contributing to multi-disciplinary formulation — helping distinguish between mental health difficulties, neurodevelopmental needs, and trauma-related presentations.
Later, I became the Lead Occupational Therapist in a Social Communication and Autism Team, offering highly specialist assessments and support. I’m trained in both the ADOS and ADI-R, but my passion lies in helping people make sense of their sensory world and how it shapes their experience — beyond just diagnostic pathways.
My specialist interest is in neurodiversity, and I’ve completed Module 2 of Sensory Integration training, alongside many years of practice delivering sensory assessments and intervention.
Most recently, I spent 15 months working in Australia, supporting children and families in areas such as emotional regulation, motor skills, mental health, sensory processing and functional independence. Alongside assessment and intervention, I’ve also developed and delivered training for professionals and families, with a focus on practical, neuro-affirming approaches.
Above all, my work is grounded in compassion, curiosity and the belief that everyone deserves to understand how they function best in the world — and to be supported to thrive.
