Functional Capacity Assessments

Understanding how we function in daily life is key to building confidence, independence, and wellbeing. A Functional Capacity Assessment provides an in-depth look at the different areas that shape how a child, young person, or adult manages at home, school, work, and in the community.

This comprehensive assessment explores:

  • Executive functioning (attention, planning, organisation, self-monitoring)

  • Motor skills (fine and gross motor abilities)

  • Process skills (how tasks are approached and completed)

  • Sensory processing (responses to sensory input and their impact on regulation)

  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) (self-care, independence, participation in routines)

  • Emotional regulation and how it links with daily functioning

The result is a detailed picture of strengths and challenges, alongside personalised, neuro-affirming recommendations to support learning, participation, and wellbeing. This can be especially helpful for families, schools, and professionals to understand and make practical changes that truly fit the individual.

What’s included:

  • Initial consultation

  • Full assessment (online, using interviews, observations, and standardised tools where appropriate)

  • School/Professional Liaison Meeting (online)

  • A comprehensive written report with practical strategies and recommendations

  • A feedback session to discuss findings and next steps

  • Functional Capacity Assessment Package: £450
